The keynote last September sent users of the Apple Watch into a frenzy with the announcement that their prized wearable will soon allow them to use Facebook Messenger on it. Well, that time has finally arrived, sending more people towards stores that sell electronics as the Apple Watch brings even more value to Apple’s most loyal customers.

The moment you update your Apple Watch to watchOS 2, you can finally have access to one of the most commonly used messaging apps everywhere. You can finally check your messages even when you’re on the go without having to take out your mobile or open up your Facebook account on your computer.

Of course, because of the evident lack of typing space, replying to messages will not be possible just yet. That is, if you’re thinking about the conventional typed messages you usually send to peers who contact you through Messenger. However, it does allow you to respond in different creative ways.

What does the Facebook Messenger on the Apple Watch allow you to do?

 Send voice clips.

The ability to record and send voice clips is one feature of the Facebook Messenger that you’ll be able to take advantage of fully through your Apple Watch. It could make a lot of people wonder how you could possibly communicate with anyone else using the app on your wearable, but this capability addresses that issue for them. It’s even better than using your mobile gadget, as your Apple Watch will finally let you talk to people – secret spy style.

 Send likes.

If you just can’t take the time out to send a voice clip to respond to a message you received, that’s okay. Facebook Messenger on the Apple Watch lets you send likes, which is perfect if you just want to let people know that you’ve seen their messages and will get back to them later.

This can be an extremely useful feature if you receive messages while you’re in the middle of a meeting or in the middle of an intense workout and don’t want to get interrupted.

 Send stickers.

You’d have to admit. The moment Facebook allowed users to send stickers to each other through the messaging app, things just became a little bit more interesting and entertaining. It adds emotions to conversations and could sometimes say more than any words you type in. This makes it perfect for Apple Watch users. If you think a mere like will not suffice as a response to a message you receive while you do not have access to your mobile or computer, then a sticker would definitely be the perfect way to express what you want to say.

It may not be much to those who are not exactly fans of wearables, but for those who bought the very first Apple Watches, this can actually be considered as a huge leap for the watchOS. Seeing that they are now looking at making the Watch even more useful for Apple enthusiasts, it’s exciting to find out what else they’re cooking in their labs.
