Evaluación: La Galaxy Note II y la madurez tecnológica de las 'phablets'

It’s been a year since we reviewed on this page the Galaxy Note, Samsung’s new proposal for the nascent segment ‘phablets’ hybrid devices between a smartphone and a tablet.

A year later I was able to confirm that, but I still have my reservations with the size, for many users is the type of device that fits perfectly with what you require. So Samsung did not fail to ‘create’ this new segment.

In the last days I tried the Galaxy Note II. What was it that I was on your mind? That this is a segment that has taken hold and that Samsung has managed to improve the features that make these devices so different.

The first improvement is the design. Now is more rounded, which helps in handling. However, because of its size (80.5 mm x 151.1 mm x 9.4 mm) is very difficult to use with one hand, as with a smartphone regular.

As for their appearance * seems, at first glance, a Galaxy S III *. The arrangement of buttons is very similar to the product family. Its screen, 5.5 “high-definition images play nicely. Maintains its powerful 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9 MP front.

They are very powerful (Quad Core 1.6 GHz) and the tasks are performed without potholes. It has also greatly improved the functions linked to stylus or S-Pen. Thus, the work to draw or write freehand, like taking multimedia notes with programs already loaded, it is very interesting. However, it still has much leverage. It’s a great device, in every way. But watch out, its size may not fit your needs.

TO CONSIDER
If you are considering buying this computer, we recommend paying attention to the following
points:

* FEATURES: * The team has some interesting features. One is Air View. Using the S-Pen can have a preview of the content without entering it.

ENTERTAINMENT: Due to the size of your screen and processor performance, is an interesting device to watch videos, surf the Internet and even video games.

GOOD: With a full charge, and with normal use, the battery lasts a full day (14 hours) without problems. Remember, with the battery usage time has increasingly less autonomy.

THE FIRST TIME

STUNNING: Although not a new category, continues to impress at first sight. It looks elegant, although Samsung continues to bet on the plastic.

FLUID: Use the Jelly Bean Android (4.1) and, thanks to its processor, navigate between functions and applications without any interruption happens.

MORE COMFORTABLE: Only afinarle enough lines so that the Note II feel more comfortable. But his 182.5 grams may tire if one hand for too long.

HELPFUL: Applications prepared for the use of S-Pen have always seemed very entertaining. You can learn a lot out them out.

AUTONOMY: A new team in an hour and does not show much battery consumption. Then I realized that the team is not as ‘eater’ as it might seem.
