Apple is rumored to be launching its next-generation flagship phones later this year, so there is still time to make adjustments and improvements. Though it will be a few months more before the new iPhone 7 (and possibly iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro) rolls out, online speculations about the device had started early. Tech reviewers and stores that sell iPhones already learned several details on the upcoming smartphone. This gives consumers a good amount of information on what to look for when the iPhone 7 line debuts.
Three iPhone 7 Units Leaked
If the recently leaked images online are true, they give support to previous speculations that Apple will offer a trio of iPhone 7 units. The three-part line includes the regular iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and the levelled-up iPhone 7 Pro.
As posted on two blog sites – Weibo (China) and sitenowhereelse.fr (France) – the images presumably showcase the front and back view of three iPhone 7 models. The standard iPhone 7 appears to showcase a 4.7-inch screen. Conversely, both the Plus and Pro units seem to be furnished with a 5.5-inch screen.
The leaked material also points to the possible cost of the smartphones. The iPhone 7 Pro appears to be $150 more than the Plus. Tech reviewers assume this is due to a number of special features. The other rates set the iPhone 7 line at the similar selling price as the iPhone 6 and 6S models. The top level for every unit is equipped with a 256GB memory, which holds the cost of the flagship 128GB version. Also, the basic storage space option may also be upgraded to 32GB.
Slammed by the recent decline in Apple sales (particularly on mobile phones), the company needs to persuade potential buyers that the iPhone 7 is worth its price tag. To date, reviews point out the soon-to-be-launched units only have minimal improvements compared to the iPhone 6 line. However, a trio of new iPhones can boost sales by providing different options to consumers.
No other details were spilled regarding the three units. Tech reviewers advise the public to take the leaked images with a dose of skepticism. However, it should also be noted that rumors of the iPhone 7 Pro appeared online in January from KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo who has an excellent reputation for forecasting Apple products.
Back then, Kuo outlined the Pro model would feature two rear-facing cam lenses to generate higher-resolution pictures. The recently leaked images of the iPhone 7 Pro clearly display a dual-camera system. The images also show a smart connector similar to the one used on the iPad Pro. The smart connector helps in moving power between the iPad unit and other smart accessories.
Further Details
If Apple adheres to its own styles and trends, the iPhone 7 lineup will feature a completely new design. Rumors disclose that the next flagship units will be water-resistant and without the antenna lines. With the addition of the smart connector, the new models will get rid of the headphone port.
