According to a recent report from TrendForce, tech giant Apple is set to provide its newest smartphone unit – the iPhone 7 – with three storage choices. By doing this, the company will double the basic storage space currently available to iPhone users. These options are 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. All are expected to be on the market at the latter part of this year.

The Biggest Yet

In terms of storage space, Apples next-generation smartphone series may very well be the company’s biggest thus far. Based on the report and speculations from vendors who sell iPhones, both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a massive 256GB storage option. Also, the iPhone 7 Plus will apparently be loaded up with more RAM.

2016’s iPhone 7series is likely to be available with just minor aesthetic modifications – such as revamped antenna bands that arent pretty easy to recognize. Reportedly, the units will be far more fascinating on the inside. This is mainly due to the handles new processors and superior cameras. The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus also welcome improvements for users fond of carrying loads of audio tracks, videos, and photos, thanks to the expanded storage space.

The news from TrendForce also stated that Apple is now set on the majority of the specifications for the company’s newest iPhone series. Kevin Wang, an analyst at IHS Technologies, recently quantified that Apple will, at last, say goodbye to the 16GB option. The iPhone 7 series will have a 32GB space as the minimum storage. However, the company is said to be uncertain if the mid-

range handles will feature a 64GB or 128GB storage.

TrendForce also reported that the iPhone 7 Plus will feature a loaded 3GB of RAM. This account is reinforced by similar reports from Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 is projected to keep the 2GB RAM similar to the iPhone 6s series.

Bigger All Around

This isn’t the first time this storage rumor has circulated. Just a couple of days ago, a report from Japan cited that the 16GB iPhone is certainly approaching the end of its reign, further firing the speculations about the bigger storage choices.

Prior to this, these bigger settings had been reported to be restricted to the 5.5-inch Plus version, along with other specials. This includes 3GB of RAM that’s going to energize a dual- lens camera setting for the Plus models. The larger units also customarily provide users with an even bigger battery as well as a longer battery lifespan.

The progress towards 256GB for the newest iPhone series is a foregone conclusion and an unsurprising improvement, particularly since this storage setting is found on the iPad. Taking out the 16GB basic space is also something tech reviewers have been expecting for quite some time now. The progress is part of the organic development of smartphones that will surely benefit consumers.
