Based on polls and studies done by tech experts who also sell electronics, it appears that music is one of the main marketing points of any gadget. This is not surprising since the music industry remains to be a thriving niche, especially today that music streaming is prevalent.

For a small fee per month, you can have access to literally millions of songs anytime, anywhere through a music streaming service. If you have a music collection from ripped original CDs and MP3s, you can create your own music collection and share it with other users.

Here are the most popular streaming services you can use to share your music collection to the world.

  1. Google Play Music

Formerly known as Google Music, Google Play Music lets you upload up to 50,000 songs for free. You also can stream these songs from anywhere.

If you make a comparison of all music streaming services, Google Play Music is, by far, the most generous free choice.

To get a hold of this music streaming service, simply:

  • Download the Google Music Manager App either for Windows or Mac.
  • Install the application.
  • Log in using your Google account.
  • Pinpoint your Music folders and the app will automatically duplicate your collection in the Google Play Music.

Once your collection is uploaded, sign into your Google Play Music account via the web, through your Android or iOS app, and stream the music from anywhere.

To make the upload a lot faster and more convenient, Google Play Music will scan your collection and match your local songs to its servers. Once the scan shows a song which Google already has in its database, that copy will be uploaded to your collection.

  1. Amazon Music

Amazon Music employs the same system as Google Play Music. Instead of Google’s music manager app, Amazon Music (AM) uses the Amazon Music Importer app. This program enables you to import your collection from your PC or Mac to your personal AM account. The scanning and matching system is also implemented to save bandwidth.

To access your collection through the Amazon Music website, simply click “Upload Your Music.” Once all your songs are uploaded, you can listen to your songs through the site or via the Amazon Music app on your Android or iOS phone or tablet.

The main difference between AM and Google Music Play is its price. Amazon Music only lets you upload up to 250 songs free-of-charge. To upload up to 250,000 songs to Amazon Music, you need to pay $25 annually.

  1. iTunes Match

This music streaming service is only recommended if you’re a hardcore user of the entire Apple ecosystem. Otherwise, choose a different music streaming service because this doesn’t cater to any Android or web access.

iTunes Match is an integrated feature of iTunes. Similar to Google Music Play and Amazon Music, the scan and match system also works here. iTunes Match will scan your local iTunes library to see if there are matching songs from the Apple database. If so, you’ll be able to access the song or songs on Apple’s servers.

Apple’s matching music streaming provides no free option. To use this service, you need to pay $25 yearly.

If sharing your song collection to others is what you want to do, choose any of these services. If listening to music or accessing millions of songs is all you want, you can try other music streaming services like Spotify.
